Fall Family Photos

Ah, glorious fall!  The season for basic white girls to celebrate the beauty in the mundane: the changing leaves, sweater and boot weather, and of course, pumpkin spice everything!  And you know what?  I'm right there with everyone else!  Fall has honestly been my favorite season since I was a little girl, and it isn't just for the reasons listed above.  My birthday is in fall- October, to be exact.  Halloween (my favorite) is also right behind my birthday, insuring the celebrations continue.  But what I've come to understand that I truly love most about fall is the fact that it ushers in the holiday season. Sure, Halloween isn't for everyone.  I understand that (not really, but I do honestly try).  But soon after comes Thanksgiving and family get togethers and opportunities to see dear friends from our childhood.  And really, what can be better than that?

With Thanksgiving right around the corner (how did that happen?!), I thought I would share some pics from our fall family photo session.  Yup, basic as can be.  We took these out in the same place where we got married, and I'm so glad we did.  The lighting is always absolutely stunning, and the landscaping means you never have to worry about setting up props or anything that feels forced.  But in all honesty, there is nothing I am more thankful for than my loving little family.

To be honest, I wasn't sure if any of these pictures would turn out.  The baby wouldn't smile.  The dog couldn't stand still.  Both of these things are a little odd, because Will is usually such a ham when the camera is out, and Hank dog is usually an epic poser!  But regardless of how many of the perfectly posed photos I had imagined in my head actually got taken in reality, I will look back on these pictures when I am old and remember the warm sun and the cool breeze and Hank running around and having an excuse to do my hair and makeup and snuggle with my son and husband.

I never thought I would be the type of mom who would dress to match her child, but here I am, guilty as charged!  When Will got his cute little buffalo plaid Ralph Lauren Polo outfit from my parents, I knew I had just the outfit in my wardrobe to match!  And I'm going to be honest, I love twinning with that little guy!

Does anyone else like (or hate) to match with their bambini?  How are you celebrating the last of the fall weather?
